about the find:
I recently got a 1912 bible from someone who cleaned out their attic and had lots of older books to give away. There were lots of "bookmarks" inside the bible, mostly just little pieces of blank paper though. However, I also found the following items you can see in the pictures:- A calendar sheet for the date of October 24th, 1929. (The text on the sheet is a bible quote, John 4:50.)
The page it marked has several pencilled-in numbers in the margin. Looks like someone did sums there, but could be anything really.
- A strip of paper, probably torn from a newspaper or similar. From what I can tell, the incomplete text announces the dates and times for various church services.
- Several "in memoriam cards" as a commemoration for the funeral of a man who died in 1945. The cards say he was a master clockmaker and court jeweller.
