I found this in a second hand sci fi book. It is a ticket from the 30th october 1986!It cost 30 pence to get into the centre of Northampton in those days. The phone number on the back only has 5 digits. I wonder if 1986 was the last time any one read this book?responses:
I think as today Northampton council's have shorter phone numbers, maybe this was before bus companies were privately owned.by smitholi
hmm. I thought it was because it's from before phone numbers were 6 digits long. Like how the old area code used to be 0604 not 01604. But your theory is just as likely, if not more likely - the company is now "first northampton", so perhaps "northampton transport" is indeed the old private company.
