newspaper cuttings always intrigue me - obviously someone found this worthy of being cut out, but then how did it make it's way into "how to teach arithmetic"? I can understand it being put into a scrapbook for whatever reason, but some random textbook? why? Any ideas?by a guest user
Book says on inside front cover "Purchased at Teacher's Institute August 30-Sept 3 '15 - Ruth F Orthivein(?)" Not sure about the last name, but it seems it was a teacher's reference book, which might explain why it was in there...I bought this book at a Goodwill store in Ohio seven or so years ago.

Also, just did a quick Google search and found that the Allen County(Indiana) Teacher's Institute was held on those dates. archive.org won't load for me right now but I did see the cached version from the Google search.
