about the find:

I love the fact that some Chinese guy has come along and annotated difficult/unusual English words with their translation.

I love even more that he's put in phonetic a pronunciation guide above some of the longer words too! Really thoughtful! I like thinking of all the Chinese students over the years since the annotation was written who must have given silent thanks to whoever chose to write it in the first place.

Normally people writing in library books annoy me, but this is unobtrusive and useful - awesome! :-)
